Monthly fees
For 2026, the monthly tuition fee is $460.20 for all age groups and all classrooms, except in the Magnolia classroom where it is $484. This does not fluctuate during the year. Holidays, professional development days, and pre-planned school closures are accounted for in our annual fee, which is then divided into 12 equal payments. The fee for 2027 will be confirmed based on the CWELCC funding that is currently pending confirmation.
Tuition deposit
At the time of enrolment, prospective parents will be issued with an invoice for a non-refundable tuition deposit of $920.40. This is held by the school until the child’s final two months of enrolment (in accordance with the Withdrawal Policy described in the school’s Parent Handbook)
The tuition deposit must be paid via e-payment.
Enrolment remains unconfirmed until the tuition deposit is received by the school.
Other fees
School hours are from 8.30 am to 4.15 pm. Parents should plan sufficient time to collect their child and their child’s belongings, to have any staff discussion, and leave the school premises before 4:15 p.m.
Due to the operational and staffing costs incurred when a parent/guardian is late, a late fee will be invoiced. A similar charge is levied when a child is dropped off before the official start time of 8.30 a.m. in the morning.
Early drop off and late pick up must be coordinated with the Site Supervisor (by email or phone) to ensure adequate staffing is available.
There is no school uniform required.
Field trips are at an additional cost.
Invoicing and payment methods
- Ongoing monthly fees are deducted directly from bank accounts by pre-authorized debit. An authorization form will be issued for this.
- Invoices and receipts are issued electronically via Quickbooks.
- Cheques and credit card payments are not accepted.
- Parents are issued a childcare tax receipt by the end of February each year.
- Annual payments are accepted by special arrangement.
Payment schedule
- An invoice will be issued on the 20th of the month for the tuition fee for the upcoming month.
- Fees are debited from bank accounts on the 28th of each month for the upcoming month. Where the 28th falls on a weekend or holiday, the fee will be debited on the next business day.
Terms & Conditions
Please review Stoney Creek Montessori’s Parent Handbook for full details of our enrolment policies. They include the following:
- Meals are included in tuition fees. This includes two snacks and lunch.
- Enrolment forms are not required until 6 weeks before enrolment begins.
- There is no refund or reduction in fees in case of withdrawal, illness, dismissal, absence, cancellation, inclement weather, vacation or non-attendance.
- When the Hamilton Wentworth District School Board (HWDSB) closes schools due to inclement weather, Stoney Creek Montessori closes as well without exception.
- 65 days’ notice is required for unenrolment in accordance with our Parent Handbook policies. The tuition deposit will be applied to the last two months of the child’s time at the school.
- Eligible refunds incur a $50 administrative fee.
- NSF declines, i.e. when a bank account does not have sufficient funds for the deduction of the monthly tuition fee, incur a $50 administrative fee.
- Enrolment is continuous throughout the year, including during the Summer Program in July and August of each year.
- Closure dates, including winter holidays, March break and Professional Development (PD) Days, are published before the start of each school year for the upcoming year. Where possible, Stoney Creek Montessori’s closure days are aligned with the HWDSB calendar.
